Mark L. (Ron) Hixson has been building custom homes in the Boise Valley for 40 years and believes that green building is more than just a trend. Honoring the tradition of custom home builders and master craftsman, he designs and builds truly unique homes from start to finish.
Over the course of his career he forged good relationships with the city and code enforcement, helping to develop local green building efforts in Boise, Idaho. He has become a strong advocate for straw bale construction.

In the summer of 2019 he sold EarthCraft Construction Inc. to Jon Clark who leads the building effort. It has been said that the business Ron built was like the family-run builders of the area, who built homes from start to finish, many of which still stand strong and perform well. In this form, both businesses continue to support one another as a new kind of mentor/apprentice.
